Hi guys, i,m selling my car and need to get the plate valued, does anyone know a good place to do this online?

Be aware that a 'valuation' is not an offer to buy, but normally some random number to get you to place the plate on sale with that company.
Short answer is to put it in an auction & stick a sensible reserve on it.

Look in all the ads in car mags - thats the price they would like to sell it at, but what its worth depends on what someone wants to pay for it.

8 valve car, are there any ? I doubt it.
Dont you mean a V8 as in 8 cylinders. Most cylinders will have a two or four valve head. Not 8 valves per cylinder.
I wouldn't plan your retirement on that number plate.
