I'm pleased you found it but this only raises more questions:

Disassembled the sofa and it was in part of the rear that adjusts the headrests.

Do you live in a car? Since when did a sofa have adjustable headrests, actually, since when did they have headrests of any sort?

Yep it’s a recliner with fancy adjustable headrest things. Fully up, fully down or halfway. They come off, which is good or I wouldn’t have got it through the door. The iPad had slipped in behind somehow.

Have you looked in the toilet cistern? It's where I always hide stuff

my money's on it being in the sofa somewhere, surprising amount of gaps, particularly big ones that come in pieces to go through doors.

Posted through the letterbox?
Under a bed?
In the washing machine?
Sofas?
Etc etc ad infinitum…

Still missing an iPod Touch from when my daughter was in Junior school. We have since moved house and she is in the Upper Sixth!

I did find my missing sock this morning, so that’s a relief, they’re particularly warm and comfy now the weather is turning cooler.

It was clinging to the Velcro on one of the thigh pockets on the shorts I’d washed at the same time!

Well that's good news. I found the memory stick i'd mislaid this morning ... in the motorbike jeans i hadn't worn for several weeks.
