I'm going to London on Friday and for reasons too inane to go into, feel like paying tribute to our glorious heritage by eating some quintessentially German junk food.

I hear word of a place called Katzenjammers which sounds promising, but is anyone aware of any other German joints in that London? Preferably a pub/bierkeller type set-up so I can enjoy some superior beer too.

For those who may be worrying that I'm neglecting my own nation's rich cultural tapestry, fear not. For I shall be joining the throngs at Crystal Palace that very night, to watch the fireworks and spectate as an effigy of a failed papist proto-terrorist is burnt.

Besides, I was born in Germany.

In Ham or Petersham, there's even a German school there. I'm sure if you walk down the road singing "Deutchland Deutchland uber alles!" you'll get your dream realised.
