Don't especially want to "own" a car so keen to look at personal leasing options - seem to be loads of options - any recommendations for a sensible place to start?

Doesn't have to be a brand new car but must be less than 3 years old

Leasing is basically borrowing money.

We've leased 3 cars in the past, first one went back at the end and the other two we paid the residual (as they were worth far more) and kept them.

Looking back its quite sensible if you just want a cheap brand new car (106 then Saxo) with known running costs - anything other than that it gets expensive. tbh I've no idea how leasing vs loans fits out now, but on our three it was the cheaper option.

Also do work out the various miles per annum computations, on all ours we went for the minimum - working on the principle that when the car was due up we'd either cheap or send back depending on what was owed (including penalties).

tbh now, I'd just buy with the cash I had.

Personally i would buy, at least you have something for your money at the end, leasing you have nothing
