I thought it unfair to comment on his thinning pate.

Perhaps people aghast at paying these rates should start a new thread on the issue, leaving this one for discussing local breweries?

Perhaps people aghast at the thread going off topic shouldn't post off-topic posts? 😉

aren't far from me, though I'm not a huge fan.

have proved hugely popular. I very much enjoyed their Armageddon.
http://www.miltonbrewery.co.uk/ are also local to me though again I'm not that keen.

Fortunately beers not travelling well is a complete myth, and I get to enjoy excellent pints from all over the shop. 😀

My local is Skinners ( http://www.skinnersbrewery.com): I can see the brewery out of my window and when they're brewing you can smell it. Excellent beers and I recommend a mixed case!

I guess proper local would be concrete cow brewery which is ok but not amazing. Best nearest would be Leighton buzzard brewing which are decent.

less than a mile, Wadworth brewery.
Been told there is a few smaller ones about as well.

Some of which I posted up a couple of pages back. Driving through Melksham yesterday I noticed a brewery tap tucked into some offices opposite Asda, for the Kennet and Avon Brewery Co, which I didn't even know existed, so there's another local one to me.
