Just thinking about countries around the world, most countries or their people have made some sort of positive contribution to the world in some way at some point, I'm struggling with Somalia, can anyone think of anything...?
Oh dear oh dear.
It's nicer than rice pudding?
I'm struggling
You are, aren't you?
I'm asking a genuine question here, no need for the thread to go downhill...
Not sure I get your point. Is there a reason why Somalia should impress you in some way?
what is the point of England, bunch of Xenophobes, Imperialists, god bothers, etc, etc.....
Rageh Omar, BBC journalist?
Mo Farah?
Look through this list and add to your knowledge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Somalis
Then tell us what positive contribution you have made.
What have YOU contributed to the world?
I'm glad I don't know many people like you in real life.
I'm not asking to be impressed, I'm asking if the country has made any notable positive mark on the history of the world.
crikey, hope this gets locked soon
My oh my, how sad it is that I ask a geniune question and it quickly degenerates into the above.
I MUST BE A RACIST THEN MUSTN'T I....... 🙄
Cool place for Pirates to relax?
Truly pathetic by the way chaps, if this is the best we can do.
Somehow I get the impression if I'd asked what's the point of, say, Iceland, the general tone of responses would have been wholley different..
So bad I posted it twice.

Why not investigate this matter yourself, instead of pretending that you're not being juvenile on here?

I concur.
Keeps Ethiopia dry?

Juvenile eh... 😕
If the answer to every question asked on here was go and investigate it yourself, there wouldn't be much to discuss really would there...
If it was a genuine question you asked it really badly
I refer to my point above, if I'd asked what is the point of Iceland in exactly the same way, no-one would have batted an eyelid!
And I'm the one being juvenile.. 🙁
I think the OP asked the question perfectly fine. The reason the question has not been answered is because they would get flamed. You know the answer your self. Nothing.
Unfortunately they are povity stricken like much of Afrika ka ka ka.
It's a shame. And will never change / will get worse.
Is it still for the illegal dumping of nuclear and toxic materials ?
A sort of serious answer:
It's one natural advantage, it's highly strategic location, is also it's biggest disadvantage. As a result it's 'purpose' seems to be as an ampitheatre of war, going back forever...it was once called British Somaliland...who'd've guessed, eh?
Which is bad luck if you're born there.
Seems it falls to me to post this:
The most dangerous county in the world according to the CIA
The most dangerous county in the world according to the CIA
I thought that was Somerset. 😕
Brizzle, shirley? 😉
Merseyside imho...
What's the point of humans? So far we've only had a negative impact on this planet and almost every other species of life out there.
How dare you start on Iceland....?

It's from the CIA World Factbook, a useful place to discover facts about the world!
A lot of my customers are Somali and of all the different communities in Manchester that I deal with they are by far the most genuine and the nicest. As a generalisation of course.
They have beautiful Supermodels

Allows the Americans to **** up then make a good war film out of it.
Im sure there was a documentary on TV about the origins of man ,I cant remember what it was called but basically if I recall correctly man ventured from Africa and crossed over some river which wasn't as big at the time at the horn of Africa?? ,a bit sketchy but if it's true what the science bod's were saying they pretty much are responsible for all european civilisation
Wikipedia put it like this on the whats somalia good for web page
"of its great contributions are the religious development and civilization of mankind"
They invented uppy downy seat posts and head set spacers.

That deserved at least a slow hand clap. Well done.
What has Somalia done for the world....
They brassed up a load of Americans?
I'll just post that again, shall I?
