I have a fairly old dell that Ive just formatted with Windows XP and want to sort my music out (a fairly large amount). I used to use Winamp which was fine, is there anything else worth considering? (I would use iTunes but it doesnt play WMA files)
iTunes converts WMPs automatically if you set it up to do so on installation but I wouldn't touch Itunes with another man's dodah. I was a big fan of Winamp too and I liked Windows Media player for a while.

Keep an eye on Songbird..especially if you like Firefox. It struggles with my 1.2TB music collection but they will get there.
cheers, i did have a look at songbird but the reviews were mixed. Installed media monkey, seems ok, doesnt use much of my pcs limited resources either.
Windows Media Player Classic (nothing to do with Microsoft) with an appropriate codecs pack?

Why not?
And it's Doodah.
+1 MediaMonkey
Handles all my formats (Mp3, flac etc.)
iTunes here, does what I want, don't care that it's Apple.
Boxee is very swish and surprisingly un-resource-intensive.
I set the mediamonkey up and it seems bob on. Itunes is fairly **** as it wont play wma files and I dont want to convert them as they'll lose sound quality.
