MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I'm trying to remember the name of a game. I -think- it was an original Playstation title (using Multi-Tap?) or maybe PS2.
It was a multiplayer battle arena sort of affair. Half a dozen different venues, I remember one on ice. either single-screen or that sort of scroll-a-bit where you almost-but-not-quite-see the whole screen. Weapons like logs spawn that you can pick up and chuck at each other.
It was very cartoony, very silly. Not Bomberman but a similar idea, more open play area and a pseudo-3D view.
Some of these details may be misremembered but, is it ringing any bells with anyone?
... I've worked it out now. But I'll still be curious to see if anyone else can come up with it.
Unreal?
Was it Poy-Poy on the PS1?
We had so many laughs playing it drunk.
Picking your girlfriend up and throwing her into your mate was hilarious.
Been trying to find something similar since.

We have a winner. Well played.
The lightbulb moment was realising, it must have been a Multitap game. There's a list of those and there's not -that- many of them. I recognised the name as soon as I saw it.

Well. I think we've just encountered the middle of this conversation.
The last couple of nights I've been playing Fall Guys on the Xbox. It's a 60-player game like a cartoony Total Wipeout / family version of Squid Game. It's Bloody Stupid™ and it set me thinking about other Bloody Stupid games I've played and that popped into my head. It's been bugging the crap out of me what it was called for a full 24 hours, and I only worked it out like half an hour after creating this thread.
I'm told it's fully Xbox / PS / PC crossplay too.
PC version.... where 🙂
Steam
It had problems with hackers and people being so good at it that it became almost impossible to win/do well, but last I read they added loads more levels and were back on top of the hacking.
Just got back in from a ride and looked at this thread whilst the youngest was with me.
She has told me about a couple of games which look worthy of more investigation.
Pummel Party - same ish.
Party Animals - more like it.
They both appear to be Steam games but not looked any further yet.
