This thread already highlights why I hope we don't get avatars. There's enough crap written on the forum without having to supplement your inane ramblings with childish pictures surely?
Going off your name there may be another reason why you don’t want to have an avatar.

In reality I agree with salad dodger. Avatars make any forum look cluttered, add pointless extra content and make the entire experience of using the forum worse.
