Hi Chaps,

For my soon-to-be mother in law's Xmas present, we're buying some nice wellies and some welly socks.

Does anyone have any recommendations for welly socks?

Bit bizarre, but I need to get her some 🙂

Cheers!

Ricks

Fine place! Treat her well, it'll pay off in the end!

I've got some very much like these, http://www.directshootingsupplies.co.uk/prods/bama-sokkets-insulated-welly-wellington-boot-socks.html
from a country store that does all farming, riding and outdoor kit; brilliant things, because they're only ankle-height, they can't keep sliding down and rucking-up and getting uncomfortable.
I wear mine on pretty long walks in a pair of Muckboots, up to eight or nine miles, and if wouldn't be without them, means you can wear thin regular socks inside them.

I got bought some Hunter ones for Christmas last year. Unlike the willies themselves they aren't overpriced rubbish (guessing at price of course!)
They are the big fleecy type that turn over the top of your welly. I had to open out the adjuster at the top of my boots to accommodate them but they have stopped numb toes on grotty wet muddy dog walk mornings.
