Have a couple to cook for myself this evening. Anything interesting other than just grill/fry them? Mrs DD, wot doesn't eat meat is away for the weekend so I'm going for it...lamb madras is on the cooker for tomorrow night at a mate's and I haven't eaten a pork chop in ages so picked up a couple for this evening when I was buying the lamb.

Any suggestions?

Don't dick around with them. Just grill them and add salad and wine vinegar.

There's got to be some applesauce involved in this!

in a small bowl mix a good gloop of honey with a decent dollop of wholegrain mustard, maybe a splish, but not a splosh, of soy sauce.

Introduce them.

Put a splush of cider in the bottom of a shallow baking tray, bake with the top element on in the oven.

If you've not had chops for a while, I'd keep the seasoning fairly light and enjoy them ffo what they are, with salad and potato of some kind, possibly some light gravy.

When I was a kid, me mum used to grill em with mustard and brown sugar. I've never been able to recreate the magic, but it was magic.

Grill or fry with an runny egg on top of each. Bish bash bosh.

Sear them on a cast iron griddle and serve with some apple sauce.

Fry simply, rest for a while, season well. Serve with a simple bean stew.

Make a nice cream and mustard sauce in the frying pan after doing the chops.

New spuds. They will fry up beautifully the next day in the pork fat. In fact fry the chops and keep warm then fry the pre cooked and cooled spuds in that fat.
A fried egg on each adds to it.
Now what kind of new age, skinny jean wearing, metrosexual freak has salad with something hot? Something invented by foreigners to add colour and fuss.

It's a bit late for most suggestions. They're already long eaten. ๐Ÿ™‚

Liked the mosque suggestion but as big an arsehole as I am, I couldn't quite bring myself to be that much of a ****.

Chargrilled meat goes incredibly well with salad, unless you're a bit of a meat and two veg throwback.

These are Pork Chops, Pork Chops not skinless chicken breasts.

At least 1" think.

Grill and get the skin crispy, cook until a tiny bit of pink left in the centre.

English mustard and black pepper.

Metrosexual side salad with a vinaigrette dressing.

Nom, nom, nom.

It was going well right up the curry sauce part.

What I done Thursday was, wok on full loud, cube chops, chop up an onion and into wok for a few minutes until cooked-looking (but not brown), stir three eggs with salt pepper and a bit of oil then into the wok for another minute or two, then wang in a big lump of the previous night's steamed rice cold, stir vigourously until all mixed and steaming hot, and if it doesn't kill you it's a very tasty pork and egg fried rice thing.

Caramelise some apple slices, sage leaves and onions in butter then fire your chops in the pan along with them once they start to go gooey.

Cook chops both sides till lightly browned.

Remove from pan.

Devour.
