What should I do with 42 out of date mince pies?

A friend who is also a professional brewer made an 13% ABV mince pie imperial stout last year. It was not a bad drop.

Leave them in gin/rum/vodka for a week, or until something interesting happens!

In a similar vein to the ice cream recipe, make a cheese cake with them.  Remove fruit from case, use the pastry as the base (perhaps add in some digestives for crunch) and blend the mincemeat with the cheesecake mix.

Or just gorge the lot in one sitting 🙂

...do nothing besides contemplating life, the universe, everything to which you now have the ultimate answer.

Above all do not eat one. That would throw the cosmos terminally out of kilter which we'd experience here with wars breaking out across the globe, successive storms blowing wheelybins into cars, Trump returning to the whitehouse, that sort of thing.

Please tell me you haven't eaten one?

Leave some vanilla ice cream out to soften.<br />Chop mince pies up and stir into the ice cream. Re-freeze and enjoy at will. Lovely stuff.

@rakas mrsbunk & I thank you. As does the local tailor who can’t keep up.
For future reference, you can easily squeeze 12 pies into a 2 litre tub of icecream, turns out they are mostly air (& hard to shift calories)
@johnx2 oops 😬
