Right that's it, I'm off out to come somewhere between first and last in a nearby 10K. It's a good 10K, because it's about 1/2 mile shorter than most.

Blundstone lace up boots. They last less than a year, so need to be cheap with good support.

Steel toe capped boots (made by a company called Himalaya who were presumably the cheapest supplier my company could find... Surprisingly comfy once you've worn them in though!).

It's pretty casual where i work now so I tend to wear my two pairs of Clark's desert boots, though not at the same time

Birkenstocks for me, 16 hours a day without getting sore feet, no I've not got a desk job in standing all day.
