I have ended my laptop dongle contract with 3 as it was so slow and unusable and now looking for something better. Not sure that I want a contract so can I get a pay as you go as I don't use it often.
Also could I just get a replacement sim card and use it in the dongle I have been using? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
get a MiFi dongle, unlocked, on ebay then you can use it with your phone/tablet/anyone else. If you get a different operator to your phone provider you get wider coverage potential.
Or....
Just get a tethering contract on your mobile and use that as a MiFi dongle.
I wouldn't go for a mifi widget. £40 and it needs charging, whereas a USB dongle can be had for a tenner or so unlocked and is alwys ready.
I bought one for my work sim card.
Replacing the SIM in your dongle won't work becaues it'll be locked to 3. They can be unlocked for a fee, but new unlocked ones from ebay are so cheap it's not really worth it.
I got a VF dongle unlock code for £7.50 off ebay.
