If scousers are angry it is because we are fed up with knobs slagging the place off who have never been here. It is fact that we have less street crime than most other big cities so you shouldn't feel unsafe walking about. Sure there is more gun crime than most other cities, but you are unlikely to be affected as a visitor.

Scousers can be a little parochial but that suits us, the city has had harder times than any other and that has probably rubbed off. In terms of shopping or a night out, you will struggle to find better if that is your thing. Around Concert Square on a saturday night can be a little lively though so as a 'foriegner' it may be somehwere to avoid. Albert dock is a little more 'grown up'.
