Empty coffee cup
Half-full water glass

Normal desktop (is it still a desktop if it sits under the desk?) computer paraphernalia and a spare laptop.
LOTS of thoroughly important bits of paper strewn around in flimsily organised chaos.
Lots of pens (I keep losing them), two staplers, two paperpunches, several envelopes, two flash drives, empty CD cases, earphones, Post-It's, two stressballs, calculator, tripod, ruler, a plastic Morph, towel, deoderant, box of screwdrivers, two boxes of business cards, umpteen keys that we don't know what they're for but can't throw out in case we find out, zip-ties, incomplete set of playing cards, a bell from a Lindt chocolate Easter bunny, a birthday card, and a small rubber tree plant.
Cold cup of tea, bottle of water, half a box of cookies, and a pear.

Rugby balls all over the place, GPS pods, various Mac's with various bits of mud and grass on them (in them). A McLaren F1 radar to play with 8)

Unopened Christmas cards and half a mug of coffee. Various weird and wonderful protein/sport supplements sachets.

Beyond the normal office tat:

3x 500ml bottles of heavy fuel oil
a trowel
a couriered box of paperwork i'm not opening this side of christmas
a lone 1 euro coin
the remains of a (failed) container securing strop
a pile of unclaimed rail tickets

Am leaving in a little while and trying to work out how to cram the above into my desk drawer.

Enter two of roper's colleagues stage left

1st Witch:
Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

2nd Witch:
Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.

3rd Witch
Harpier cries:—'tis time! 'tis time!

1st Witch:
Round about the cauldron go:
In the poisoned entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Sweated venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first in the charmed pot.

All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blindworm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing.
For charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

All:
Double,double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and couldron bubble.

3rd Witch:
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witch's mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg'd in the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew;
Gall of goat; and slips of yew
Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;
Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,-
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For ingredients of our cauldron.

All:
Double,double toil and trouble,
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

2nd Witch:
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

Vice with half a toy gun in it, armourer's wrench, assorted allen and torq keys in a tub, rack of screwdrivers and a massive hammer. Also half a cheese and chorizo sandwitch, my mobile and assorted set screws, split washers and pins around the edges. (I'm currently repiring some of the rental guns used at the airsoft site I manage.)

At work? Some joker managed to fit a 16' open canoe through two doors, into the office and 'onto' my desk. Funnily enough there was no-one around to help remove it - they all magically disappeared...

This time yesterday and every day for last 10 days I had £10k+ of jewellery on my desk to sort and post.

Today I've got no desk and no job as it was a temp job 🙁
