As I said before, despite it being far beneath me, I've found myself amused by it. I never watched any of the other Longleat stuff but this one is entertaining as there's some weird dynamic going on in how he's passed on the running of the estate and safari park to his son while retaining some kind of autocratic veto on any decision made (cf the re-painting fiasco) - which makes for unpredictability given how utterly Fruit Loopy he is. With the added odd appearance of a drunk wifelet (all of whom the son clearly hates), it's a recipe for some hilarity at times.

It wasn't Lord Bath who banned the cyclists - it was his son who now runs the commercial enterprise that is Longleat. Iirc the gripe he (the son) had was that he wanted anyone who got onto the estate to pay an entry fee and the cyclists weren't. Unfortunately it was only ever a permissive right of way so there was little Sustrans or the local authority could do legally, but I understand the route has been reinstated after he (the son) realised (after it was pointed out) that the majority of these cyclists ate in the cafe etc.
