You employ staff. Some of them are not qualified journalists. There is no longer the money to get them up to speed over several months. The pressure to get stuff online and the scant regard for literate copy these days due to declining levels of reading, or even caring about what is published means crap is out there and hopefully corrected before any print edition.

Let us make a distinction between journalists and writers. I was the latter, never the former. Same I suspect as most of the stw staff. I work with journalists and editors and am aware of the legal differences they are are expected to know over writers.
