We will be in touch
After hora junior face planting twice OTB's on the BMX track/balance bike session maybe it'll be a wise investment...Not expensive or fancy - just functional.
edit - oops, misread the other thread!
Anyone else?
Small kids have very flexible bodies and their bones don't break, they bend in a greenstick fracture. Even when my son aged 13 nutted a tree a few weeks ago at about 20 mph knocking himself unconscious the maxilo-facial consultant said that if the cheekbone was fractured it would still be a greenstick fracture at his age.
He's too young, just let him ride in your garden.
yes hora what are you thinking ! you bad father . I would not even let him in the garden - all kinds of dangers out there , sticks that could have an eye out , nasty hard stones on the floor. keep children inside until they are at least 10
Yeah that's what he said......
in all seriousness , is he likely do do any real damage to his face ? my two year old has learnt not to face plant after the first few times. A full face is likely to be way to heavy - a bit like putting arm bands on your feet in the swimming pool I reckon
hora , does the Strider have a steering limiter ? It helps to stop the face plants - should be able to knock up a home brew version, it is just a rubber gromit fixed under the down tube and hooked over the front brake bolt on the back of the forks
Stupid idea, hora.
Kids are not mini adults. Their heads are near adult size and weight, but their necks are not nearly strong enough. A big helmet is only going to exacerbate that, and potentially cause worse neck injuries.

+1
Really!?!
Yes really. A kids helmet needs to be as light as possible.
Sorry was referring to OP
rotational injuries?
If its heavy and uncomfy they wont want to wear it. Just a lightweight Decathlon / halfords job will suffice to get them used to wearing one.
No helmet = no ride.
Right sorted. Ive bought him an Xbox and 100 games
how about human cannonball ?
I wouldn't put a full face helmet on a 2 year old, just get them on grass untill they are old enough to know how to fall properly.

About 30 or so then?
No until Hora accepts that his child will have accidents if they ride a bike at 2 years old.
Full face is far too heavy for a two year old.
