Its a carbon 2012, vaguely remember you could just change the shock shuttle? Or would I need a new shock with a longer stroke too?
Yup, you need the Spicy shock shuttle, and change the shock from a 200x57mm stroke one to a 215x63mm stroke one.
Here's mine (with CC DBair):

(But, being a carbon 2012 frame, wait till you snap it into two pieces and do this to your replacement........ ๐
Ignore my advise if you want but I've gone the complete custom zesty route and done everything except 160mm because riding my mates spicy I didn't feel it was any better and I only ride in Europe and Scotland a few times a year!!! Here is my build
2013 414 frame
Slacker head set (works) 66 degrees now
160 2014 pike fork
2014 rockshox monarch rc3 shox
Crank bros iodine 2013
50mm 35 easton stem
800mm easton 35 bars
Formula ro 2012
Xt group set and clutch mech
2.4 black chilli rubber queens
It doesn't climb as well as standard but point it down and it rides better than anything I've ever ridden and it felt better at stiniog than my friends nomad or enduro
Well, the first part of the 'upgrade' was a longer fork. It was either a 150mm Revelation (from a 140mm Fox32) or the full hog up to 160mm with something like a Pike or even an X-Fusion Slant.
But I thought getting a 160 fork (not just 20mm longer a-c if I remember correctly?) would make the front end too slack without bumping up the rear end?
It's currently got a 65mm stem and 750 wide bars, clutch mech etc. Also a 2.5" WTB Dissent Tyre on the front which is a bit over kill.
