Nearly back in geoffj towers after 6 months of work and I'm planning my office. I'm going for the shabby chic look as I'm now officially skint, but what are the home office [s]essentials[/s] toys that everyone should have.

All sensible and ridiculous answers considered 😆

Headphones, desk with lamp, pinboard, whiteboard, phone, computer with big sign above saying "NO PORN".

That's all I've got and it works for me.

A decent desk chair - just because you are working at home doesn't mean that your back doesn't need the same amount of support from a desk chair that you might get in an office.

agree on a desk/chair combo that allows you to sit comfortably and without causing aches and pains int he long term.

if you live with other people a door you can close behind you and be 'at work' is handy.

Decent chair is the most important thing. I got a cheapo slide-out keyboard/mouse tray from ikea that works really well too. And a footrest is surprisingly good.
