Looking at the Berghaus Arette, Mainly to be used for Day walks/possibly an Overnighter or 2. Nowt to expensive
Was going to recommend the Berghaus Arete too. Can't fault it - light, comfortable, tough and cheap. Stacks of room in the 45l version (far too big as a dedicated day sack outside of winter to be honest, but the compression straps help to squish it down when partially loaded. Or fill it full of camera equipment and chocolate like I do.) Narrow profile is good for scrambling, if that's your thing. Only potential down side for some might be the lack of side pockets and smallish lid pocket.
Thanks, there's some cheapys on ebay at the moment
I like the OMM sacks. Lightweight but very robust (I'm still using an old KIMM sac), lots of features.

Cheers, whats the straps/back like on them? To be honest, if I were spending that much, I'd buy a Deuter, as the child carrier I have with 2.5 stone in is so comfy it's unreal
OMM are the mutts danglies. Bit hard to find though. Very good backup too. Some stitching went on mine about a year after I'd bought it (just where a compression strap was attached. I just sent it back to Mike and it was all fixed, no hassle.
I'LL add them on my list then. Are the Jack Wolfskin packs any good? I like my Jack Wolfskin coat, not that it helps at all 🙂
I've got a 45l Arette too. Can't fault it.
Osprey talon 44.
Osprey talon 44.
Is that the one ST used in their Bivvy Feature a while back? Too expensive I'm afraid 🙁
try the decathlon range
Keep an eye on the UK climbing forum or ebay for any of the osprey range. All are really good.
I had a Lowe Alpine Countour Mountain that lasted forever.
I've ordered the berghaus pack, wish I'd seen that one linked above 1st, although maybe too big. Mike, I see you're now a ti-mugged lightweight backpacker 🙂
