Is this still a thing?

It is in our house.

My daughter has learned to play it in the guitar with the specific intention of taking us all out at 6:00am on Friday morning. If that doesn't work we are going to the village panto on Friday evening, so whichever way, I'll be out on the 1st.

Played it a few times in the past. It’s surprisingly easy if you don’t listen to rubbish radio stations, the hardest part is shops, bars and Christmas parties. Still managed though in some years, others I didn’t. Just seems to me it’s been done.

And a pointed out, let your daughter play her version as it doesn’t count.

Yup, I'll be in this year again after failing miserably last year. May have to switch the van radio off for the next month.

HA!  I got this, easy, working in South Korea until December 21st!  <br />Despite a lot of christians here, they aren't commercially bonkers about Xmas.

Excellent. I'll still let her get up at 6:00am on Friday and go through the whole rigmarole, then tell her that it didn't count.

I do not like the song at all either, which is presumably why Whamageddon strikes such a chord with me.

I don't listen to music radio much these days so I'm safe there, so for me shops and the like are my biggest risk area. I walked into the local shop on December 1st a couple of years ago and was immediately Whammed, that was pretty galling.

That's fine (well it isn't, it's always better not to hear it at all), Whamageddon starts on December the 1st.

Made it last year I think. Two previous years I'd been taken out very late on by overhearing radio.

Thought I got whammed this morning but on a closer listen it was a cover version. Playing at a merry-go-round in Lille.

Survived Sainsbury's last night. I'm out more this year so not holding out much hope.

Just heard it at the school Christmas fair. 2nd December, worst ever.

Came to ask about covers, heard a soft acoustic female version in a shop today and thought I'd won / lost.

I was out yesterday! Was on Radio 2 in the afternoon.

Spent the afternoon sorting the Christmas tree so my girls can decorate while I make tea, left them listening to Bing Crosby on the stereo whilst I popped to the shops. Just walked back in to Last Christmas blaring out of a tinny phone speaker, gah!

I got done yesterday (1st), came in the kitchen after walking the dog, Greatest Hits Radio blaring it out. Out.

I seem to remember last year 5Live Breakfadt did a story on it and played a clip right in the middle of the piece.

Probably more moaning texts than a normal morning.

Caught a taxi home last night and the guy from Bangladesh asked us if he wanted to play it again to us. No Sam no.

Well , that’s me out, sabotaged by my wife who sent me a cat chaos video with Last Christmas as the soundtrack. A veritable Trojan horse.

I'm oot, - greatest hits radio about 11.10 this morning. They even apologised for not giving a warning on it about 15 mins later

Lasted 8hr 56 minutes, just minding my own business working out in the gym when it came on 🙁

I got taken out early on Saturday morning, my lad lasted until yesterday afternoon when Morrison's took out their entire Whitefield store.
