Morrissey. What a massive tool. I know he's one of those boring anti-royal people, but for goodness' sake.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/dec/12/morrissey-royal-family-nurse-death

he called on the duchess to take direct responsibility.

"[She] was in the hospital, as far as I could see, for absolutely no reason,"

I agree with his point about the immense pressure on this poor woman and the enormous pedestal the royals are placed on but to be critical of a very serious illness is completely uncalled for and just serves to dilute his main point.

Morrissey never lets facts get in the way of a good rant.

From a hotpress interview in 2008

"Life is a difficult business, and most people find it to be actually impossible....even Jesus only made it to 33".

It's such a pity he's made the effort to make it to 50 plus.

Always considered him a c**t when he was with the Smiths and seems to get a bigger one as the years go by.

the enormous pedestal the royals are placed on

this isn't their fault, it's the public's fault.

so I assume that means we're all to blame for the suicide?

I'm leaning more towards Lady Garden than Pop Genius. More and more.

It's all down to our desperate need for hilarious prank calls

They do try ever so hard to shun the limelight and the high life

They live in a cottage on a rocky island off the north coast of Wales. I spent 9 years there, it's key features are a town with a long name, an RAF base called Valley despite the island being almsot devoid of hills and the fery to Ireland.

The local saint is famous for getting sunburnt walking the the middle of the island (he had to walk east all morning, then back west), that's how exciting a place it is.

Yes yes that is all they do live the quiet life in Ynys Mon
Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Ps you forgot to mention the cracking beaches

LLangoed boy myself FWIW.

To be fair its a chicken and an egg question but they are hardly hermits nor are the rest of their family

After having numerous holidays (family/cubs/scouts)on Angelsey as a nipper, I can confirm that it has very nice beaches.

Well his brother's been out in the desert for a fair while, the last I heard of his dad was the wedding and before that when protestors attacked their car, gran opens schools/hospitals and waves at people and grandad muttters inapropriate comments every so often.

They make the news a lot by virtue of who they are, but it's a bit of a stretch to say they court the publicity.

Agree about the beaches.

Well they could refuse to do the things that generate publicity and hide inside one of their many castles or palaces with private land in order to avoid being in the limelight.

They have so many we would not even know which one they were at.

Its not credible to say they shun the limelight though you could reasonably argue they have little choice given their "role" and public adulation.

Should have said traeth 😉

It constantly amazes me that people get so het up about comments made by a Los Angeles property developer

If a Royal falls in the forest and no one is around to hear them, do they make a noise?

I agree.

Although I am perfectly happy to pretend the Lady Garden that calls himself Morrissey these days isn't the same person that was in the Smiths during my youth.

At least that way I can still listen to the Music without getting annoyed 🙂

Has said Royal just divorced another Royal who is in-line to the throne?

Frank Sinatra was an awful human being.
John Lennon was an arsehole of the first order.
I'd happily withhold my last, dying piss if Marc E Smith was on fire, burning and screaming in agony.
And yes, Mozzer's a knob.

Still love the music they made though. 🙂

If you can stop crying into your Lady Di memorial tea towel for a minute, here's a song:

I think he means it.
Man.
