Our first was Songs of Love by Divine Comedy. Most people recognise it as theme music of Father Ted, appropriate as a lot of people compare me to Dougal a lot ๐Ÿ™‚
Loads of randomness thrown in the middle, all of this after the Ceili of course.

I think we are having robbie Williams angels or phil Collins, I'm crap with this sort of thing. Not sure we should even have a first dance, it'll just be embarrassing!

I get married in three months. SO wants a song called 'Up with Love' by Teddy Thompson (son of Richard and Linda Thompson). Can't find it on You Tube. I'd prefer Eye of the Tiger, but never mind

we didn't have an evening do per se; small do, 20 people at most. Civil ceremony, sit-down dinner then the cake - no speeches, we didn't want any of that stuff - then in the evening everyone was free to join us in the bar. That was it.

No evening do, no disco, no first dance. I think some folks in the wider world would probably feel cheated by not having a wedding disco/pissup, but that's how we wanted it and it was our day. none of our guests were the type of people to feel let down by not doing the traditional guff.

Friend of mine had a musically clueless mate who he almost persuaded to have the song that goes "What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster?" by whoever it is by and whatever it is actually called.

We've asked our friends and family to suggest 2 tracks for our do in a week or so, my word there are a mixture of tunes there. Should be fun.

The wedding song, a timeless classic.

It still makes me feel get all emotional every time I hear it.

We had this

Nice, with a mild bit of subversion, I thought.
This was before the song had been shat over by Elton f-in John, Duran Dupissinran and Susan pleasestopbeforeIslitmywrists Boyle... ๐Ÿ™
