What did you have / would you have?
We kicked off with this
๐ณ
In the unlikely event... I'd have this:
In A Country Churchyard by Chris de Burgh.
Our first was Songs of Love by Divine Comedy. Most people recognise it as theme music of Father Ted, appropriate as a lot of people compare me to Dougal a lot ๐
Loads of randomness thrown in the middle, all of this after the Ceili of course.
"I can't see me lovin' nobody but you, for all my li-i-i-i-f-e"
Happy Together - The Turtles
cheesy, yes
obvious - yes
a floor filler - yes
had these
first song
I think we are having robbie Williams angels or phil Collins, I'm crap with this sort of thing. Not sure we should even have a first dance, it'll just be embarrassing!
I get married in three months. SO wants a song called 'Up with Love' by Teddy Thompson (son of Richard and Linda Thompson). Can't find it on You Tube. I'd prefer Eye of the Tiger, but never mind
Get taditional fight the good fight
I had 'Fat Bottomed Girls' by Queen, in honour of the bridesmaids.
'Real Love' by John Lennon, finished by The Beatles.
love shack b52's to start
favourite shirt haircut 100 somewhere in the middle
tiger feet mud when we was pissed
we didn't have an evening do per se; small do, 20 people at most. Civil ceremony, sit-down dinner then the cake - no speeches, we didn't want any of that stuff - then in the evening everyone was free to join us in the bar. That was it.
No evening do, no disco, no first dance. I think some folks in the wider world would probably feel cheated by not having a wedding disco/pissup, but that's how we wanted it and it was our day. none of our guests were the type of people to feel let down by not doing the traditional guff.
or
As our song, Come fly with me -Frank Sinatra
In the middle that Pearle and Dean tune from the cinema (oh dear) (edit: asteroid by Petet Moore)
can't remember the rest.
We had some wedding present, the irony.
๐

cant help falling in love with you = andy williams
its now or never - elvis
heaven - lenny kravitz
I want to marry you - bb king and clapton
youre the one that i want - grease
first dance was whole lotta rosie !!
bought a load of blow up guitars and everyone was rocking out at the reception
how do I do this video thingamagjig
go to the video site you want and copy the text from the "address" bar (highlight it then ctrl-C).
in here, click the 'Video' button. Paste the text (ctrl-V). Press the 'Video' button again.
Voila
Super Furry Animals - Fire in my heart.
Friend of mine had a musically clueless mate who he almost persuaded to have the song that goes "What's that coming over the hill, is it a monster?" by whoever it is by and whatever it is actually called.
We've asked our friends and family to suggest 2 tracks for our do in a week or so, my word there are a mixture of tunes there. Should be fun.
I have a wedding in my future, perhaps this would be a good tune to kick married life off ๐
Woman, by the Anti Nowhere League
We had this as our first dance -
It was a great day
Van the Man, Have i told you lately
The wedding song, a timeless classic.
It still makes me feel get all emotional every time I hear it.
We had this
Nice, with a mild bit of subversion, I thought.
This was before the song had been shat over by Elton f-in John, Duran Dupissinran and Susan pleasestopbeforeIslitmywrists Boyle... ๐
Dez, that's grim for a wedding song
๐
We had a live 10 piece swing band at our wedding, playing for 3hrs.
8)
Quite cheerful for a young goff ๐
Later I danced to 'White Lines' with my mum ๐
