[Closed] Webcam in a rented property - illegal?

My brother lives in Oz most of the year but has a house here that's normally empty, but he may be renting it out for 3 months.
He has a webcam in there to check things when he's away but would this be illegal (as well as very weird) if someone was staying in the property?

Good luck finding a tennent.

May need to advertise in some specialist publications to find one.

He could just remove it?

I'd imagine it's almost certainly illegal unless he told the tenants. It's definitely immoral; what if they take to wandering around naked?

Well it's been there a while but he's never rented the house before - I'll just pop over and remove it seeing as it's a bit of a trek for him!

Why should the only consideration be whether it's illegal. As someone else had mentioned. What about plain old decency/morals?

Would be a breach of his quiet enjoyment covenant for starters
