MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I know its not strictly allowed because we don't have a TV licence but can they actually find out I'm watching it? I have heard they will be sending out extra vans that check if businesses are using TVs (without licences) so their employees can watch the game but can they detect if its being watched on a PC?
EDIT:Cock wrong forum. Can a mod move it to chat please.
If you work for a large company, then there is a chance that the network admins could be keeping an eye on the internet logs and they will know if you are watching iplayer. More chance of getting caught internally by the IT manager than the TV licence people I would have thought.
Small company with no IT manager and in an office on my own so that is not a concern. Just wondering if the TV licence people would be able to catch me because I am not receiving over the air broadcast TV.
They wouldn't be able to detect you from the street. The BBC would know which IP addresses are logged on to iPlayer, but they would have to contact your ISP to get your address then cross-match it against the TV licence database. Least I think this is what they would have to do.
I don't think there is anyway they are going to able to do this. Not worth the effort.
This might be all irrelevant anyway as half of the population of England will be trying to get onto iPlayer at 3pm, be very surprised if it manages to cope with the demand.
might be a daft question, but how can you watch it on iplayer?
I thought iplayer content was put on the net after it was shown, not streaming it?
Any sites I can watch it on other than iPlayer? Can`t get it as I am on a Danish PC, iPlayer not available to outside UK....Help Please!!!! 😥

The games are being streamed live by the BBC and ITV, doesn't use iplayer
iPlayer will be streaming it live.
If you can't get iPlayer try www.tvcatchup.com, not sure if this UK only or not.
Excellent site with loads of channels, I'll be trying this if iPlayer lets me down.
I was going to listen to it on 5 live but I would rather be able to see what is happening. I just hope its worth the effort and not another dismal performance like last week.
I hope so as well.

If it's anything like the Algeria game, Alan Green's commentary was the highlight of the game.
