It says on the care label for my jacket 'pure soap' Not sure what to do with regards to washing this?

Im wary of making a pigs ear of it and loosing the water beading properties.

Cheers.

Pure soap you say? Oh dear... Just washed my Primaloft jacket with normal washing powder, on a 30 deg wash - doesn't seem to be any detrimental impact. Can always spray with Granger's or similar to restore DWR...

I've just used regular detergent with no perceived detriment

There's probably a water repellent finish on the shell fabric rather than it having anything to do with the PrimaLoft itself. The actual PrimaLoft fill should be fine with normal detergent.

I just wash at 40 with everything else. Can't be bothered with worrying about DWR.

what BWD said - and detergent will only take off the DWR which can be easily reinstated.

Pure soap=soap flakes.
Large Tesco stores sell it.
