T shower for me.

But it we all seem to have missed someone above doing their teeth in the shower - that’s just weird...

Don’t you lot sweat when you go cycling!!!!!

I think you're over estimating the number of people on this cycling forum that actually do much cycling! (Myself included)

Shampoo my hair, I figure everything else gets caught by the trickle down.

Shave my legs in the shower a couple of times a week though, so that must scrape off some muck?

what exactly is the purpose of a scrunchy thing?

if you have significant body hair you can work up and maintain a good lather

if you’re smoother/shaved legs etc/a lady then a sponge/scrunch/etc becomes a valuable substitute!

i have seen both sides of this, so have gained a little perspective!

if i had falsies, I'd spend ages in the shower soaping them up.

Oh, teeth!!

As per my previous post, I'm normally a T-zone washer, but post ride last night I had a good scrub of the legs, and found 4 ticks.

Worth a check as you wash this time of year!

I also brush rush my teeth in the shower. Saves having to do it before or after.

Teeth ..got to be in front of the bathroom mirror ..

I know where they are and can navigate around my gob ok ..but need to see if there are any bits stuck in between ..plus it's an electric toothbrush which you are not supposed to get fully wet ..

Do you also floss in the shower weirdos ?

@Tinners - 🤣

I wash everything in the shower, I don’t use shampoo, just give my hair a thorough washing with the running water, then soap on a scrunchy thing and a good rub over with that. I shave in the shower as well, not that there’s much to shave, just around my neck; having a hairy face saves a fair bit of time. Well except for trimming it once in a while. If I’m soaking wet, with running hot water, why not wash all the bits, there’s little extra time involved!

We established with the last "how often do you shower" thread that half the people on here are mingers! Getting them to wash their legs in the shower is almost certainly asking too much.

🙂

Okay just for the record while I don't feel it necessary to wash my legs every time I have a shower I do wash them at least 3.5 times out of 5!

Some pee in the shower.

I think it’s wrong and some think it’s ok.

I wash legs though.

pissing is fine but poo'ing can be problematic as it won't go down the plug hole.

Sirromj....3.5 times out of 5 is very precise ..so the 0.5 is presumably when you only wash just the one leg ..?

Toe it in. Probably best wash your foot too on these occasions

From the numbers in this thread we can broadly assume 50% mingers inhabit this forum. Adding this to a thread i recall about washing jeans i wonder how many are fully "soaped" just to get out the shower and dress in a pair of jeans that have been composting their skin/hair/lunch for months?

Disgusting lot we are.

I would have thought that we've evolved to operate with fairly minimal daily cleansing. With that in mind, is scrubbing your entire body clean using soap every single day actually good for you?

Fwiw I'm firmly in the t zone camp, unless I've been doing something that would make my limbs visibly grubby.

Been using an electric toothbrush in the shower for years and it still works fine. I don’t really eat anything for breakfast that would result in bits stuck between my teeth either. Next it’ll be crazy to shave your head in the shower and without a mirror 😱

My everyday shower routine is:

Wee

Teeth (electric toothbrush)

T-Zone wash with shower gel and hands, no scrunchie thing or flannel

Clean between toes to prevent build up of toe jam

Post ride or activity is as above but with more comprehensive body coverage.

I'll own up to more than once having to reshower as my mud caked legs haven't been rinsed thourougjly enough.

You wouldn’t try washing the car without a sponge.

This very true... **** washing the car ever.

None of this T-zone nonsense - full wash, with an exfoliating scrunchie, every time. One of life's little pleasures..

Next question though, typical day, shower before bed or in the morning, or both?

I always shower before bed but only shower in the morning if I have worked up a sweat during the night....

Always wash the legs. Usually give them the once over with a razor as well, there are always a few little hairs around the kneecap or back of the knee that were missed last time!

Just tried that T method of showering and have to say I like it.

Gave me another couple of minutes to give my cock a "really good wash" 😵

To take this on a tangent...

How do people wash the top of their backs? You know, the area that you just can't reach with your hands.

Loofah. Obviously.

To go back to the OP, I came back from today's jaunt with my legs covered in mud and sheep shit. Sheep shit appears to be stickier than gaffer tape. Should I have just let gravity do it's thing with the water I washed my unmentionables with?

Right let's get this clear. Legs or arms or whatever. I don't feel the need to wash every square mm of my body every day (or twice day if I need two showers in one day). Some days I do, some I don't. Ok!? Jeeeeeeezzzzzuuuuuussssssssssssssssss.

No, wash properly.

Can I counter with - I did a long ride yesterday and got covered in dust, mud, sweat, road grime and possibly 'organic matter' as well. I had a proper shower and washed it all off with shower gel (I'm still not admitting to using a scrunchy shower mitt though)

I then sat in the garden and ate some barbecue with my folks, and then watched an episode of the Bridge, and went to bed. It was quite hot and a little humid, so a bit sticky when I woke up.

I've just had a shower. Do I have to scrub my immaculate pins all over again? What am I removing that isn't water soluble and didn't just run off while I washed my pits n'bits and hair?

T- and proud of it.

Those scrunchy shower mitts - are their days numbered as they are plastic? What's wrong with a flannel?

Flannels are absolute shite. Impossible to work up a decent lather with them and it’s like washing with a dish cloth.

Nonsense. A flannel and a bar of soap is all you need. If you can't get a lather out of that you're doing something wrong.

Is the scrunchy/flannel thing only needed because of the water quality?

Not only - they come in different pastel shades so you can accessorize your bathroom alongside your other smellies and bath bombs.
