Does anybody knows what my missus can use to wash the carpets? She asked the question so I'll let her do it ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
Any ideas?

As PJ O'Rourke said about cleaning ovens, the simplest way is to move house.

Hire a machine from a local hire shop as these work better than any vax or domestic wet machine. My mrs used to love pusing it around the floor before we changed to all laminate downstairs.

She bought a VAX and wants to be using it, fine by me. Need to know the stuff to use (I mean Vanish is all I do know, is there anything else?).

Rug Doctor chemicals can be used in all domestic machines, though you'd be better (or she) off hiring the machine as well, it'll do twice as good a job in half the time!!

Get down your local Homebase and pick some up.

Hired a rug doctor last Friday to clean the light beige carpets in our rented house. Did a much better job than I expected, I was astonished at the amount of dirt that comes out the carpet - yuck!

Cost 25 quid for 24 hours hire plus some of their cleaning solution.
