For the last couple of of weeks I've notice a couple of chickens wandering around the side of a busy main road.

Mentioned this to a colleague who said someone else had seen them weeks ago.

No idea how to find the owners (who clearly have not noticed they are missing a couple of birds). Any suggestions on how to prevent them become road kill or a foxes dinner?

They may just be free-range, they do wander quite a long way in the daytime before going home to roost.

I suspect if they were truly wild they'd be dead by now, chickens are bread to be chickens, not to evade foxes.

Should I start a petition to get a crossing put in place?

Chickens ? At the side of the road? Waiting to cross?

I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere but, so far, I got nothin' ๐Ÿ˜‰

Similar thing as you drive into Huddersfield. I think to myself 'oh chickens, yep'

I like sharing.
