Looking on web for used cars. For a given make and model of similar age/mileage there appears to be some signif variation in price from north to south.
have others found this to be so.
i am conisdering driving considerable distance (SW to NE) in order to bag a car but would prefer to get something more local at the same price.

Move house, then the cheaper cars will be local to you and you'll stimulate the housing market.
Alternatively, maybe now all the people in the NE will drive to the SW and sell their cars at an inflated price.

I drove to Nottingham, from Cambridge, to buy my Golf. Saved about £2k in difference between prices in the two cites.
