As title really - what's good? Would rather have an external widget so I don't have to invalidate my warranty opening up this relatively new PC. Cheers.

Well, get one that doesn't use TotalMedia software. This is incredibly slow to respond to clicks and jumps/stutters if you do anything else on the PC while recording ๐Ÿ™

Yeah, I've had a cheap one before and it sucked big time - worse than useless - so that's handy to know what software to avoid.

If their internal, PCI equivalent, is anything to go by, avoid Pinnacle.

I've tried a few -all ok. Haupauge is my fave.

I've never got freeview digital to work with a portable ariel unless I use the 'roftop' ariel.
