Someone should just make a sticky thread.

Google Photos no good any more for hotlinking.

For my own pictures I use Flickr. For stuff I've 'borrowed' from elsewhere I use Imgur if I can't link to it directly.

Google photos doesn't work for imbeddng an image on a forum. I've just learned that the hard and time consuming way.

Imgur works as expected, but the iOS app is utter pants. Works well in a desktop browser though.

Well, seeing as you mention it...

I do see the Preview button, with a grey boarder that don't match the Submit button and an interesting asymmetric darker grey box around it.

The Preview button is also below some text, itself below the Submit. In terms of clarity of user interface, it's a bit shit, no?

Why not put them next to each other? Then there's a better chance of people seeing and using it!

Signed, sum guy who dont prof his poosts

I didn't design the site, just offering suggestions. (The design of both buttons looks the same to me though?)

I know you don't dude.

Here's how it looks on Chrome on Android 7, for reference.

Just trying a site called imgbox.com
Pretty crummy interface, but easy to upload and get the link.
Supports drect linking, like...

But you have to right-click, copy image address as it doesn't give you the direct link only the thumbnail.

It also seems to be hosted on a server using a 28k Modem.

It only took me five years to work out how to post photos (am an IT luddite). 😯 Flickr using the BB code.

Also rubbish for me - I can't remember ever having an image load that slowly in the last few years. Might be OK for you because it's cached.
