I'm on Virgin Media. Phoned up and said we're getting a poor signal so they came and changed the router for a stronger one. Netgear Superhub. Free.

Yes, for a Roku box. Virgin Media broadband, not TV.

It was me who recommended you a Roku box last week 😉

Any 802.11n router should do fine, so whatever one your ISP chucks in for nothing with your contract

I've had the Asus RT-N66U for a while now and it is incredible, it's like having Gigabit wired connections all over the house. I just switched the Virginmedia "Super"hub to modem only mode and plugged the Asus into that. When I do a speed test over WiFi there is a negligible difference to being plugged in to the router. Nicely customizable too.

Mind you, it's not cheap.
