Anyone else a user? Anyone else having issues? Any alternatives?

Moved back to the UK for a few months and can't make any Australian channels work, and their website seems very slimmed down since I last logged in to get it to do anything.

Well it still works for me. Although Netflix is a bit dodgy and VPN networks are hard to establish. Hang on a minute ....

TDF highlights on SBS currently. ABC dramas such as "the code" in due course.

However, as it's not strictly illegal, I might just accidentally remain connected to my corporate VPN when required... Doesn't fix the problem in the opposite direction when the 6N comes around again though...

The main way I dealt with the 6 nations was to rememebr it's on at silly o'çlock 🙂
SBS highlights are good so I guess the VPN route is still the easiest
It's all UNOTelly appears to be anyway - any other VPN would do the trick

Unotelly was a very good DNS spoofer to trick websites into thinking you were where they were, without the bottleneck of a VPN. That's the problem.

They turned a bit shonky about 2-3 months ago for me; I think it was round about that time that Netflix or other producers started leaning on them. Netflix recognises many of the Unotelly IP addresses, I believe, so it's not so good for that. And their CS is a bit lost these days

I don't know about the ausi stuff, but unlocator dot com is working for me at the moment for netflix. I only ever sign up for 1 month at a time for these providers now, as it seems to be a game of whack a mole between them and netflix.

Make sure you read the instructions both unlocator and unotelly have a list of ip addresses you need to block on your firewall, content providers are writing dns lookups into the webcode that bypasses your dns settings, these need to be blocked.

It might come to that yet!

And cheers MSP! I hadn't twigged the DNS lookups trick. I'll do some digging on what I should try first at unotelly, but it does look like they've been squashed by companies that would clearly much rather I torrented stuff than provided a sensible way of watching it legally.

What's the alternative for unotelly now then? My understanding with the VPN thing ( I was two years all go able to watch sky's ashes coverage on my iPad in the car in Northern Sweden using a mobile phone 4g connection) was that apple changed the automatic vpn login in an update and Unotelly have never really gotten to grips with it , so it often means I can't establish a vpn connection.
That and the Netflix thing...

I'm starting to think the alternative is Torrents for anything that isn't live. If they can't come up with an easy way of letting me pay a fair price to watch stuff in a timely manner (and by that I mean NOT a Sky/Foxtel subscription), then I'm not going to worry too much.
