This is the point at which Operation Deep Cover reaches the endgame.

In the 5th minute of injury time Agent Ronaldo fires an unstoppable shot into the Madrid bet, tearing of the white shirt to reveal a United shirt underneath and keeps into the living arms of Uncle Fergie.

It's our only hope...

I shall be in the pub listening to all the experts shouting at the telly. I'll stand there pint in being smug and not getting involved as everyone knows I'm a football hating bore. Secretly though I'll be ecstatic if those cheating Spanish gits lose, while being a bit fed up that those mouthy Mancunian gets have won.

Now Stockport County they'd give em a good match, especially at Edgeley Park.

games like these are corkers and what makes it better is it is not possible to be confident either way

Man u at home but real on form and counter attacking as fan i hope for a great game of football [ Bayern will win the cup anyway IMHO]but if i had to bet i woul dbet on man u just due to home advantage but it is only a slight edge. probably come down to either a blunder or an individual bit of sublime skill from someone and hopefully the later.

who knows ronaldo back home , giggs on 1000 two great [ if somehwat petulant managers] anything could happen and that is what makes football so enjoyable.
Lets just hope it is the cracker we all hope it will be whatever the result

One side will kick the ball past the goalkeeper more times than the other.

At the post-game interview, Alex Ferguson will remain incomprehensible.

Jose Mourinho will be glum.

That isn’t necessarily the case

Utd will regret not stumping up the cash for Varane when the kid keeps VP quiet then pops in a 90th minute winner.

No surprise really, Utd don't want to get overun in midfield and if your going to go with a lone striker RVP is well ahead of Rooney at the moment

Lines up for an interesting second half! They've got to come at us now! 0-0 and they're going out! Can 't see it finishing like that, mind

A good start. But I predict it will be a game if two halves, Brian.

The lads will give 110% all over again.

And CR will be wearing his own signature deodorant, featuring basenotes of cedar and patchouli. Available from all big stores. Now.

Man U out on penalties.

I predict 22 men will run around, kick a ball and each other a bit. Try to deceive the ref and the losers will blame it all on the officials

Silly boy. That's always red in Europe, particularly at this stage of the competition.

ManU will feel hard done by, but they shouldn't.

If you go in chest high in the champions league knockout stage you expect to walk.

Why do you reckon he feigned injury and staid down for a bit?

CR's magnanimity has raised my opinion of him to a little above spoilt, whiney (if talented) cockbag.

I think that was a red. If you go in, studs up, both feet off ground on someones leg it's a straight red. so, whats the difference between leg and chest?

Rooney to get sent off, just after 90 minutes, with a cruncher on Ronaldo.

Difference being the player came from behind him and last time I checked humans don't have eyes in the back of their head. He's gone to control a high ball. No chance red and it was nice to see Ramos chit chatting to the ref when nani was down.
