Whilst driving across Bristol earlier, I saw a runner with an ultra reflective jacket on. I saw someone wearing one a couple of weeks ago. The whole torso is reflective and they are quite striking in car headlights.

Anyone know who makes them?

Ha! I saw a guy riding in one this evening and was hinking about posting the same question. This one was 100% reflective, arms and all. Quite Interested!

There have been a few around, it's reflective ink, screen printed onto the material, often black so it doesn't show in daylight. Can't remember makes at the moment, I read about one a week or so ago on Flipboard, I'll see if I can find it.

jsut googled the sugoi one - I saw on roadcc a bit ago but seems it's not yet available
(supposedly loads of bits of "glass" in/on the fabric)

Couldn't find the feature I saw, it was a while back. The Vapour Flash could be it; http://insider.nike.com/us/launch/vapor-flash-running-jacket/
Yup, pricey: http://www.sportsshoes.com/product/nik8248/nike-allover-flash-running-jacket/
Found the jacket I saw, it's a Kickstarter, not overall coating but lots of reflective ink: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lunis/lunis-redefining-reflective-outerwear-for-urban-cy

My son tried on one of the Karrimor ones for me when I went to buy him some trainers in sports direct last night. Amazingly reflective, but I don't think the cut was right for cycling - the shoulders were a bit tight when I put my arms forward. The fabric also felt a bit heavy - not sure how well it would breathe. But it claims to be breathable so perhaps it's fine, and it would be great for running. Here are a couple of pics I took of him using the flash on my phone...

I was going to post something on this subject, but I thought it might be pushing my luck. 😉

Pretty sure the one I saw was the nike one. Caught a glimpse of perforated pits on my way past. It was very impressive. Very bright indeed in the car headlights.

Not £200+ impressive, though!

not a jacket, but i've just bought a nathan 'streak' reflective bib from amazon at the bargain price of a tenner. i got it for running and its super minimal which is what i was after, and some really well thought out reflective panels. 1200ft visibility apparently.

the deal is on the l/xl size, which is a little large for me (i'm a largish med) but is ok, that said over a thicker cycle jacket it would be ideal.

You can just get a gilet version of the Nike Flash which is a little more sensibly priced:
