From what I can tell the Republican Party as a whole had a pretty good election at state and local level. Americans still seem to like republican policies. So it’s starting to look like a particularly personal success for Biden and a personal failure for trump. I like that. That’s nice.

Not the way they're talking now, there's a big divide between Trump, his Team and Family on one side and Senior Republicans and at least most of their Senators / Representatives on the other. 4 years is a long time in Politics, but I think they'll want a sane, conservative Republican. The sort of candidate that Democrats might disagree with, but not hate. Wouldn't that be nice, on both side of the Atlantic.

If he isn't in jail Trump will run again, and cause as much trouble for Biden as he possibly can in the last couple of months in the White House. I can't see any possible reason the loser of a presidential election isn't out the door the next morning, only in America. Good chance he will be in jail for treason as he seems intent on inciting armed groups who believe his every word to reject a Democrat president at all costs
TBH it would be amazing if he did refuse to leave or concede - it would either end up with the US secret service dragging him out, Seal Team Six storming the whitehouse or a full blown civil war which is a win win in my book. It means that the rest of the worlds democracies can carry on pissing themselves with laughter whenever yanks talk about being the worlds greatest democracy.

I don't think he will scrape through though. It's just the order the votes were counted in and this drip-feed of counts that gives the impression. No denying Trump still has a lot of support.

I don't think he has, it's only timing and Trumps rhetoric that's making it look like he's scraping it.
Biden has 4m more votes than Trump at the moment and if he wins the states he's currently ahead in he'll win 306 - 233 which will be a larger win than Trump had in 2016, and both of Bush Jrs Wins.
