My Samsung MP3 player has packed up so I'm going to get another one,
but do I have to pay for my Apps again?

Nope. Just log in with the same account that you purchased the apps with and they will be available to install. I have the same paid apps installed on multiple Android devices this way.

CoPilot seems to figure this out and uninstalls itself from the old machine when you move across - if that is of any interest...

If you're running a more recent version of Android, it should reinstall them automatically.

I've had issues with CoPilot not cleanly releasing licences; I'd suggest uninstalling it manually before changing devices.

The only issue you might have is you dont carry across any data on the new installs.
