Looks like XP with the 'classic' theme. IIRC, the 'remove media' icon was different in W2K.

Just noticed under a pile of other stuff, despite the lack of toys, I do have the Viz 'Big Book of Filth'. It's an essential reference tool

Two toy F1 cars (both Williams' - Coulthard '93 and JPM 2001) and an F3 car (N. Minassian, 1997).
All except JPM are now missing their wing mirrors.

Does a multitude of Apple devices count? I think so. I love a bit of Reckless Racing now and then when working.

Looking at my [s]tip[/s] desk, I see that I have a set of three PG Tips chimps (one festive, one small with suckers on its hands, one normal), a bike pump, an empty Marmite jar, an Arduino and assorted wiring and some habanero Tabasco sauce.

The rest is my work rubbish, including a Wacom graphics tablet, two laptops and a desk phone.

Hang on. I've just seen a jar of artichoke hearts in olive oil under some paperwork! EPIC WIN!

You people have desks? We have shared tables and a personal drawer - everything has to be cleared at night.

I don't have a desk, but if I did I'd not have any toys on it. A framed picture of Kenny Dalglish maybe, arms aloft.

Loads of dust (seriously, loads of it)

Some sort of strange little kangeroo thing (covered in dust) given to me by a nice Aussie girl that worked here for a few months

One of those googly eyed bug things that people use to advertise things no-one's really interested in (covered in dust)

A funky monkey out of a Kinder Egg (also covered in dust)

I should really clean my desk 😕

I have this fella

He's been a little poorly so I've been nursing him.

This baby

(I should point out both of these are properly housed, unlike in the photos)

This little lady

(she also has three egg sacks)

and one of these

This was the biggest surprise though
I didn't even know she was gravid (preggers)!!! 😯

Roper 😯

What type is the one in the first pic?

Does it bite and are we safe from them here in the UK? 😉

The first was a rather angry European funnel web (Macrothele calpeiana).
They are not native in the UK but are in Andalucía in Spain, and Gibraltar , where their name comes from. They do bite but are not dangerous at all. Just a little mardy 🙂
