I had an action man tank, I fell out with my sister when I found her and her friends having a Barbie wedding using my action man as a groom and his Tank as a wedding car.

Also had one of those tanks. Does your suffer from stretched tracks? Mine wouldn't stay on, but it had a pretty hard life!

from...

Vintage Action Man

It saddens me when I look at the new Action Man, with his roller blades, stupid hairdo and a muscle bound physique, he would be no match to our friend opposite. Athletic build, crew cut and vacant wild starry eyes that dart from side to side (probably due to severe combat exhaustion).

The Action Man of my day was trained to kill and more than happy to do so. Our Action Man wasn't going to get on his mountain bike and do battle with Doctor X to save the rain forrest. No, he was going to bomb Nazi staff cars and gun down civilians from his scorpion tank.

lol especially the MTB bit 😉

Matchbox trains were rubbish weren't they... Yet strangely brilliant all the same. Did you have the ropey plastic "tracks"?

I only had a motorcycle...I action man crashed it tho and broke the bars.

My brother repaired it with wire...he'd had practice using it to repair his rc car I'd crashed.

Pretty decent of him really.

Had the training tower andalso seem to remember having a very large kite/hang glider for action man too!
You'd use the string to get it up to a decent height then the towing string would detach and action man would glide gracefully back down.. An amazing thing that probably worked twice before it went into a death spiral and nosed straight into the ground. Never really worked after that..
I seem to recall there was a harrier as well at some point!

My mum still has most of our old star wars stuff.. Was all out the box about 5 seconds after unwrapping though and very much played with!! My nephews take great delight in playing with it all still, hopefully when my wee boys a bit older he will too..

I'd forgotten just how rubbish the wrist pivots looked.

My fave action man toy was the Persuit Craft - remember getting it for Xmas one year and being SO excited 🙂

I had the action man tank

I remember I had the normal action man and my brother had the eagle eyes one, until I threw it in the garden and his head came off 😳

Griping hands? Thats not a proper action man. The moulded plastic pointy right & holdy left with painted hair was a proper action man.
