Waves, from Sheffield direction! Not sure I can get there for the start and the "Happy to Help" indoctrination chanting.

Good on ya guys. Put my name down but pulled out as I was too shellfish/felt bad leaving my wife with our 1 year old.

Hope you all get ace spots/jobs.

If you're there I think I'll be the big lad on crutches (see the gout thread - it's flared up again)

I withdrew after discovering I was in Holmfirth on Stage 2 when I live in Otley. I asked for Stage 1 - can't do the Sunday.

I was, and still am, well pissed off...

I'm stood on the platform at Wakefield Westgate, on my way.
I'm sure there'll be some bars open after the event. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just about to set off with the missus, we have both been allocated to Zone 1 on Stage 1. not sure what today's thing is all about, but it says its more entertaining than training.

I think there will be plenty of audience participation.

All together now.

Was going to go but works got in the way, same goes for the training days in june, I'm either in work or will be in Jersey at the festival of cycling.
Rumour has it they may be more training days towards the end of June, hope so as otherwise I will have to pull out.
I got Stage 2 sector 1 which is about the furthest point from my home address possible.

I'm too cynical, some people are going to be making shed loads of money thanks to your volunteering.

I'd have been a bit disappointed if I'd travelled any distance for that, but as a free event on a rainy saturday it wasn't bad and I had nothing better to do.

Indeed I am!
Especially the last 45 minutes stuck in Leeds traffic in apocalyptic rain, going round in circles because the postcode given for the Arena sends you around the centre of the university, 10 minutes away, getting stuck in a loop around dead ends, restricted, one way and pedestrian/university staff only roads
