I spent an evening/beers with Vatanen (and McRae when he was a 'boy'); Ari was very down to earth and is definately up there with my riding/driving 'Gods'.

First time I met Colin, he'd just stuck his Nova on its roof in a ditch in Dyfi forest. Things continued in a similar vein for many years ... and that why we loved him ๐Ÿ™‚

Liver run is quality, makes 1987 seem like such a long time ago, everything looks dead old fashioned

I'm trying to remember who it was that went straight on through a 5-bar gate instead of 90-right, rallycrossed around the field a bit, then rejoined at Mach 3. Not Vatanen I don't think, Arikala maybe? It was the Manx or Circuit of Ireland IIRC.

Never get bored of watching Climb Dance, ever since having a ratty VHS copy as a lad. The way that Ari uses one hand to shield his eyes from the sun whilst nailing it is something else.

Ok, favourite?

It pains me not to pick Senna, but I think I like Hawthorn's best.

The "oh dear God" moment with Ari on the Manx at 11. Graham Hickman in his Jordan hill climb car at 12... .

The thing about the 'oh dear god' clip is Ari dosn't slow down at all with only 3 (functioning) wheels on his wagon. It only suffers in the slow corners when loaded, 'watch out for Jimmy' wasn't really necessary when he is still doing a ton over the mountain ๐Ÿ™‚

Some onboard at the end of the second vid, but....this is probably the most awesome thing I've ever seen/heard, sadly Georg and his mighty 1 series are no longer with us. ๐Ÿ™

This is a good one, quite funny.
On board rally action of a mad Irish bloke in a Nova who has caught a Subaru that refuses to move over. Funny end to it as well.
