pigface, i think to buy into the notion that this was about the murdoch empire getting revenge is to buy into tommy s's foetid world of conspiracy theories and his own importance. he lied in court. and scottish courts don't like that. plus he torpedo'd his own party along with his own political colleagues for the sake of his own ego.
as for the snp binners, if tj wants to support a party that, whether he likes it or not, is implicitly prejudiced against his particluar geographic group, then that's his business. me, a party with nationalist in the title is always going to give pause. but, credit where credit is due, their stance on alcohol can't be said to be a vote winner yet they've, more or less, stuck by it, a position that gets more than a little support from my colleagues in nhsland. even the drunk ones.

NOTW have already appealed, that being sisted (shelved) pending the outcome of the trial.
They just need to re-awaken that action, you'd think it's unlikely that TS would defend it (though I suppose he'll have a lot of free time on his hands and possibly little resources to lose) or that any Judge would rule against the NOTW.

A lawyer friend told me that because the NOTW appealed straight after the original case that the money wasnt paid out. However him being a lawyer Im not sure how much truth passes his lips 🙂
he never got the 200k due to the appeal. I think they then paid his best man 200k for the 'video' of his admission.
The NOTW probably had the video all along.
