That was where the first controlled release was carried out. Now, with the spread of native birds from Wales, they’re everywhere - they’ve been flying around where I live in Chippenham, for the last five or six years, and there were five or six around my archery club last weekend.
Speaking of which, I was shooting a few sticks this afternoon, trying to refine my technique - started off ok, didn’t last… 🙄
That’s at 50yds, btw.
Then a man turned up to cut the grass, which really needed to be done!
First evening at the range this year, now the clocks have changed. Perfect conditions, too.
Needs work, but I’m shooting 50yds.
Is there some sort of event or holiday coming up I should know about?

Just a perfect evening. Rather hoped for Sundogs, but not enough high ice crystals, sadly. Some nice Virga, though.
