No chance now of that planned version of Hamlet

To me, or not to me

Chuckle Vision was brilliant and one of my favourite kids shows. I still laugh at it now.

The chuckle brothers were in the panto we watched the year before last and they were brilliant. Absolutely made the show and even had my 70 year old Spanish (does not speak English) mother in law in stitches.

RIP Barry

sad news - Him and his brother also featured in one of the funniest optical illusions on the internet

My mind has been blown that there were two other brothers that often were on screen with them!

Sad news. Seen them twice in Derby at the Assembly Rooms with my kids years ago. Star Wars and Indiana Jones spoofs. Great laughs. Watching Fathers nudge their kids out of the way shouting '...to me!!!' as Barry Chuckle came up the isle with a bucket of foam. It was a bucket list ticked! 🙂

That news has made the morning a little less sunny.  It may have been 'simple' humour but it was good, honest humour that was just plain funny.  A part of my childhood gone.

I likes this line from the tribute in News Thump:

Barry made an immense contribution to home improvement and DIY, as it is thanks to him that nobody who grew up in Britain is capable of moving furniture without saying ‘To me, to you’ and stepping in an open can of paint.

RIP Indeed.

We were extras in the Cycle Crazy episode - our club secretary duped us 'the BBC wanted to film some cyclists' so off we pedaled, only to realise it was Chuckle Vision when we got to the Location (Disley and Mellor). The show didn't quite have the 'status/following' it eventually had !   PS I'm the one in a dark blue club jersey and a green cap.
