All the best. If you do end up in form England ask again. Although I’ll be devastated if we don’t argue 😉

Looking forward to hearing about the journey. Please consider writing about it formally. I love reading books in trips like this. Hampshire/Berkshire border here if you find yourself passing.

Nice one, hope the adventure goes well. If you get round to leg 4 and it involves the Ridgeway area then post up and let us know.

We've found wildcamping in Ireland to be fine, at least on the coast. Just don't expect to find somewhere totally out of sight - bungalows bloody everywhere! Inland there are fewer spots but asking permission should find you a spot. In addition to the wild Atlantic way. The eurovelo1 route is very well signed.

The eurovelo1 route is very well signed

It is very well signposted but its taken your post for me to figure out what the signpost at the end of our road was actually for 🙂

The signs are pretty much just marker boards but it looks a good shout as it appears to be a well thought out route, the bits I know of it are a really good choice to see the off-piste country side (although it may be a good thing no gradient lines are included).

Happy travels TJ.

Suspect you'll be going to the Netherlands from one of the more southerly ports, but I'm very well placed for the Newcastle-Amsterdam ferry, and you'd be very welcome here.

Really? In donegal and mayo and sligo we found the signs very easy to navigate.

The ones by us point you in the right direction and were fine for navigating but they didn’t have much else (not that you need masses more) hence despite having seen them a lot I had no idea what they were for until your post today.

Nice routes, pub and bivvy recommendations, and even a bed if needed, all available here in Gower if you're passing. Plus we have a mini ghetto of 3 middle aged scottish bikers, so you'll fit right in.

Took an easy day today after 3 days of big offroad climbs. Did the Tomintoul to aviemore road.

Now camped at rothimurcus campsite. Gonna be here for two nights if anyone is around

I mean, nobody's going to stop you, will be good urban camo for Ayrshire. Just make sure you have a can of something in a plastic bag on the end of your bar and you'll be sorted.
