Looking forward to hearing about the journey. Please consider writing about it formally. I love reading books in trips like this. Hampshire/Berkshire border here if you find yourself passing.
I'll keep an eye out for your progress, working nights next weekend but if you're through before or after then I'll come give some support.
Well if you come back from Europe via the tunnel or Dover then happy to help / drink beer / talk b******s........ oh and possibly ride!
Enjoy
Have a great one TJ, sorry I can't meet up with you.
Bon voyage!
Nice one, hope the adventure goes well. If you get round to leg 4 and it involves the Ridgeway area then post up and let us know.
Camped up in Glen Fearnach. Hard going today

Nice looking spot. I would be happy right there for a day or two with a book and a brew.
Excellent spot! Sorry I missed you this morning - I did wave at Dunkeld from about 2 miles away at 12.30 😁
Sleep well Jezza, soon be in a rhythm.
Bed and board for you if you pass through South Yorkshire. Happy travels!
Bon Voyage - I know a few of us are in leafy South West London so if you're passing through there's some company for you 🙂
what a fab looking spot. why move
Have a good trip TJ
We've found wildcamping in Ireland to be fine, at least on the coast. Just don't expect to find somewhere totally out of sight - bungalows bloody everywhere! Inland there are fewer spots but asking permission should find you a spot. In addition to the wild Atlantic way. The eurovelo1 route is very well signed.
The eurovelo1 route is very well signed
It is very well signposted but its taken your post for me to figure out what the signpost at the end of our road was actually for 🙂
The signs are pretty much just marker boards but it looks a good shout as it appears to be a well thought out route, the bits I know of it are a really good choice to see the off-piste country side (although it may be a good thing no gradient lines are included).
Happy travels TJ.
Suspect you'll be going to the Netherlands from one of the more southerly ports, but I'm very well placed for the Newcastle-Amsterdam ferry, and you'd be very welcome here.
Happy travels @tjagain I'll keep an eye on this thread and if you are heading to the South coast of England I shall keep an eye out for you.

Really? In donegal and mayo and sligo we found the signs very easy to navigate.
Really? In donegal and mayo and sligo we found the signs very easy to navigate.
The ones by us point you in the right direction and were fine for navigating but they didn’t have much else (not that you need masses more) hence despite having seen them a lot I had no idea what they were for until your post today.
Nice routes, pub and bivvy recommendations, and even a bed if needed, all available here in Gower if you're passing. Plus we have a mini ghetto of 3 middle aged scottish bikers, so you'll fit right in.
Have a great trip TJ, very happy to stand you a beer from the Chiltern Brewery if you ever pass this way, sadly Scotland Ireland & Europe have much better cycling than we can offer dan sarf 😕
If your passing Milngavie I'll buy you a pint. Not jealous of your trip at all ..
this is turning into TJs beer ride. I wonder if he could ride to Bilbao without ever sobering up or buying a beer
Thats the plan 😎
Camped up north of Braemar. Dreich day fighting thru the head of glen tilt
That Glen Fearnach stop looks lovely!

Took an easy day today after 3 days of big offroad climbs. Did the Tomintoul to aviemore road.
Now camped at rothimurcus campsite. Gonna be here for two nights if anyone is around
I hope you're growing a great big beard for your adventure
If you end up in West Yorkshire give us a shout
Cant grow a proper beard. I just look like i should be swigging white lightening in a doorway and shouting at randoms. I have my lightened shaving brush with me
Ah darn, only just found this thread and could have been around on Sunday afternoon near Dunkeld/ Kirkmichael. Oh well, have a great one TJ and next time you're passing through Angus, give me a shout.

I mean, nobody's going to stop you, will be good urban camo for Ayrshire. Just make sure you have a can of something in a plastic bag on the end of your bar and you'll be sorted.
Ifound an STWer to buy me beer. Ta scotroutes

You didn't fancy the Garbole road then?
No. Too many memories and it would have been climbing into the wind
Today i rode from Inverness to Drumnadrochit. Unexpected horrid climb on the great glen way but also a fabulous unexpected single track descent that was great if a wee bit butt clechinly scary in places. Best days riding for a long time
