I lived in Yorkshire for a bit, now that was wet and full of miserable English folk.
I'm still all sunburned after last weekend's ride at innerleithen
I will not make a joke about stereotypical Scotsman.
Aren't some people in Scotland a kind of strange pale blueish colour?
I have heard this from my mate Scottish Kev (he is Scottish and lives in Scotland and his name is Kev).
Is it true?

Last weekend in wet and miserable Scotland.

My cousin caught the sun so bad in Afghanistan, he came back white.

A river bed in Scotland last week.
My cousin caught the sun so bad in Afghanistan, he came back white.
😆
Genuine lollage.
So 'white' is the tanned version of a Scottish complexion then?
😆
That's proper funny that, nice one!
It rained.
I got soaked.
It was awesome.
I love weather.

According to Billy Connolly it is true.
You rarely get a decent suntan up in Scotland. The last time I had a decent homegrown tan was back in 2003 😯
Sad, eh?
However, I have now learned to expect the weather to be pants and invariably it is pants, but when it isn't pants it is fab and I am mucho smiling 😀
I bet Bruneep's not really in Barbados. I bet he's in Aberdeen or somewhere and he's just pretending he's in Barbados.

Well I spose perpetual pessimism is brightened up considerably of occasion then. 🙂

And yeah a bonus again I'll still be England
Bonus for us too...
Maybe it's a good day to be an office worker...
Not the way some grown men were jumping out their chair at the thunder claps in our office. And they were phoning loved ones "Yeah its raining pretty hard. And there's thunder. Are you OK?". MTFU.
Photoshop, Bruneep. Photoshop.
Yer a bloody liar you are; like the time someone was skinning up in the bogs in me Nite Club, and you sed it weren't you, but it bloody was! 😡
You and yer missus are barred. 😐
Flicks 'V's at elfin 8)

Doesn't look very sunny bruneep 😕
Reminder to self not to go long haul during the wet season...
Where are all the other people enjoying themselves as well?
Hahahaha you do know I was joking about Scotland and the rain?

What is there to joke about Scotland and rainfall?
Unless you live in some sort of dreamworld we all know that it is a wet place unless you live in the far eastern parts of the country, which sounds good, but after a month or two you realise that it is also cold as well :shiver:

Where were those pics taken?
Couple of photos of Friday's storm clouds here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/grant_r/5916446168/
Barbados my arse.
That's Duthie Park 🙂
BLOODY NORA!
Trees killed in Colinton Dell. It was like riding through the first dawn of the apocalypse.
Fun
Beardy
That is the Ben Alder loop.
I was at Glentress yesterday and the rainfall after the climb at Redemption was properly Biblical. There's something epic about then honing down the Blue trail as fast as you can in a tropical rainstorm. The rain was so bad that Alpine bikes had a power cut .
On another topic the new cafe , bike shop and changing facilities are top notch.
Apparently the Peel Centre basement flooded. E and T were seen doing a rain dance at the back of the Hub.
Not surprised the water from the Car park has to go somewhere , obviously in the basement of the bike shop. Cafe and shop might have been better where the changing facilities are , that way you can see your car and bike . Still good facility though .
It was pretty impressive watching a big grassy field turn into a somme reenactment in the time it takes Weezer to play Say It Ain't So yesterday.
