After Earth is getting a pasting by the critics, it's basically a big advert for Scientology, by all accounts.
Pacific Rim looks fantastic; Del Toro, huge monsters, huge robots, honestly, I can't see anything that's not to like! ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm looking forward to Pacific Rim, or "Robot Jox 2" as I like to think of it.

The World's End.

Edgar Wright back directing with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and if its anything like Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz then it will be the best sci if (and funniest) film of the year bar none. Here's hoping.

Trailers for Pacific Rim make it look like a brainless Transformers style movie (ie robots hitting each other) but crucially Guilermo del Torro is not Michael Bay so it should be good too (and its robots hitting big monsters so there is one major difference already)

Second part of the Hobbit is out in November too.

It's not really. There are no Scientology themes in it.

Waiting for man of Steel....that's it really

All the ingredients are there for a sci fi classic. Fingers crossed it's as good as it should be.

Might as well add Elysium to the list.

I'm no fan of scientology Junky, but even a cursory look at the plot will confirm that it's not a scientology flick

It's a middling to dull plodding father-son-journey story with some effects to help you through the wooden acting and piss poor plot themes.

whats the one with tom cruise in?

Is it one where he plays a guy who's really good at something, then things get a bit dicey for a while, but then its alright because the gets to be really, really good at whatever thing he's great at again. And theres probably a woman. Is it that one?

s'ok junky, my post did look a bit ranty when I read it after ๐Ÿ˜†

yes It is weird how many follow them for sure in Hollywood

The gullibility to follow a sci fi writer who created an alien based religion...you cannot make it up

Your post was not ranty FWIW though my sarcasm may not have been clear

Robot and Frank is a great film. I am scared that Enders Game will be "Hunger Games in Space"

I am still waiting for Vurt and Rendezvous with Rama to hit the big screen. I thought at least one was in production by now?
